Lawmaker raises issue of selling Kyrgyz passports in Russia

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyz passport is sold in Russia for 900,000 rubles, said MP Maksat Sabirov at the parliament meeting on Nov 26.
"15 out of 20 citizens of Uzbekistan working in Russia have Kyrgyz passport," said Sabirov.
According to him, the Kyrgyz passports are purchased by non EAEU citizens.
"They pay 4% of tax payments and have time limits to stay in a country. Our passports are sold like gloves. Workers buy passport and get a job. They do not know about Kyrgyzstan, but have the Kyrgyz passport. We must consider the issue, since this is the homeland security," said Sabirov and asked the committee to reconsider the law on passports.
