Lawmaker proposes to announce amnesty to convicts over 55 years old

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Urmat Samayev proposed to announce amnesty to convicts over 55-years-old. There are over 250 convicts at this age. "There was no amnesty since 2016. Maybe we should give them a second chance, as well as to decrease budget and announce amnesty," said lawmaker.
Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev replied that the proposal will be considered.
