Making Toktogul district a zone for bitcoin mining in Kyrgyzstan suggested by MP

AKIPRESS.COM - 45 bitcoin mining companies were cut off power in Kyrgyzstan, because their monthly consumption equals monthly consumption of 3 regions of Kyrgyzstan combined, said Chairman of the National Energy Holding Company Aitmamat Nazarov.
MP Nurbek Totonov asked if they can impose different tariffs for them, for example, 5 cents.
Nazarov said they are readying such a suggestion to the government.
"We suggest to make Toktogul district a zone for bitcoin mining in Kyrgyzstan with electricity tariffs at 5 cents. It's beneficial both for government and businesses," he said.
First Vice PM Kubatbek Boronov said the suggestion will be considered.
