'We hope visit of President Macron to Kazakhstan will give new impetus to Kazakh-French cooperation' - Tokayev

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received representatives of the French business at Akorda, the President's press service said.
The head of state said that France is one of the key partners of Kazakhstan in the EU.
"We hope that the upcoming visit of President Emmanuel Macron to Kazakhstan will give a new impetus to the bilateral cooperation," the President noted.
According to the reports, more than 160 companies with the Grench capital work in Kazakhstan. Trade turnover between the two countries increased by 5.5% amounting to $3.4 billion in 9 months of 2019. The total volume of French investments in the economy of Kazakhstan was about $16 billion.
During the talks, Tokayev told about the conditions of making business in Kazakhstan, reforms aimed at improvement of a business climate, reduction of barriers and increasing investment attractiveness of the country.
The head of state also underlined the importance of cooperation in the spheres of innovation, digital economy, financial sector and urges the French businessmen to participate in the acrivities of the Astana International Financial Center.
