Road space rationing was proposed in Bishkek to tackle smog

AKIPRESS.COM - There were proposals to ban the vehicular movement in Bishkek on even or odd days, chief of the Chui-Bishkek territorial department of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry Ayazbek Kydyrgychev told a Birinchi Radio on December 3.
"However, we should offer an alternative before banning. It is increasing a number of public transport," he said.
According to him, the commission on reduction of air pollution has developed a complex of measures.
The set of measures consists of 33 terms. Among them are short-term and long-term measures.
