MP Strokova proposes to create general fund of social housing

AKIPRESS.COM - The government needs to create general fund of the social housing, said MP Evgenia Strokova at the parliament meeting on Dec 5. "It is good that the employees of the financial police and Interior Ministry, as well as servicemen receive housings. They deserve it, however what about the teachers and doctors? Why they don't deserve social housing? The wages of financial police officers are higher than teachers' salaries. The teachers and doctors have mortgages, which they can not pay off," the lawmaker said.
Strokova proposed to allow doctors privatize the apartments at the Fuchika street, because they have been evicted from this housing.
"It is necessary to create general fund of social housing, which will include all professions. We need to treat all people equally," said Strokova.
