1,659 migrant children live in Tyup district

AKIPRESS.COM - The number of migrant's children in Tyup district reached 1,659, according to the meeting on the prevention of violence among schoolchildren. According to the deputy head of the district Ermekan Dyushebayeva, 13,735 families live in the district, and 8,500 were inspected by commission.
The inspection revealed that children in 1,192 families were raised by the relatives, because their parents left for labor migration.
The special attention is paid to the children of migrants in the Issyk-Kul region as a part of violence prevention campaign. The age of the migrants children ranges from birth until 18 years old.
"The parents of 811 children are labor migrants, including parents in 400 families are in internal migration. Currently, the inspection is checking the conditions in which children live," Dyushebayeva added.
