AKIPRESS.COM - Head of the Pervomai district of Bishkek Alibek Birimkulov does not agree that smog in Bishkek is formed due to the heating of private residences with coal. At the session of the permanent commission of the Bishkek City Council, he said that he lives in a private residence in Sokuluk.
"Some more than 300,000 people live in Sokuluk and all of them heat with coal. There is no any smog or smoke there," he noted.
Birimkulov said that when he was heading to work in the morning smog was coming from the CHPP. "I would not confirm that smog comes mainly from private residences," he said.
Member of the City Council Adis Imangaziyev agreed with Birimkulov that a black smoke is coming from the chimney pipe of the CHPP.
