Parents of children with disabilities ask to resume work of rehabilitation center in Talas

AKIPRESS.COM - The abandoned Tan Nuru rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in Taldy-Bulak village of Talas region has been in critical condition within 2 years, Director of the center Nurzat Jusupjanova said. According to her, parents of children with disabilities need in this abandoned rehabilitation center.
The center was opened with the support of international organizations and sponsors, she noted.
"There were 5 specialists in the center. Two years ago we had to close the center due to the lack of food products and money for payment of salaries to employees," Jusupjanova said.
Children liked the rehabilitation center, according to her.
"We appealed to the Parliament members and local authorities, but they have not yet started the necessary measures," she added.
Parents of disabled children earlier gathered to ask to resume the work of the rehabilitation center, head of the rural municipality Juzur Ozubekov said.
"The center was financed by international organizations, therefore, the loval budget does not foresee funds for it. However, now we are working on introduction of the plan to the local budget. But I can not promise anything for sure," he noted.
