AKIPRESS.COM - 20 cameras with facial recognition system operate in Bishkek, said Bishkek police chief Kanat Jumagaziyev on Dec 16. According to him, the cameras were installed in public places, but Jumagaziev did not specify the areas, where these cameras were installed.
"They assist in detention of wanted perpetrators," said Jumagaziyev.
The funding of the cameras is held within the agreement of Interior Ministry with the state company of China, he added.
