EU High Representative to visit Nur-Sultan in 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi on the sidelines of the 14th Foreign Ministers' Meeting of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in Madrid met with High Representative of the European Union Josep Borrell, the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan reports.
Tleuberdi congratulated Josep Borrell on his appointment as Vice President of the European Commission - High Representative of the EU.
The EU Representative during the talks stressed the key role of Kazakhstan in Central Asian region and thanked the Kazakh side for peacekeeping efforts concerning Afghanistan.
Borrell welcomed the upcoming visit of the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan to Brussels in January 2020 and holding of the 17th session of the Cooperation Council of Kazakhstan and the EU.
He also confirmed readiness to visit Nur-Sultan next year and a speedy entrance into force of the agreements on the expanded partnership and cooperation.
