AKIPRESS.COM - The government is not taking any actions to resolve the smog problem in Bishkek, MP Marlen Mamataliyev (Respublika - Ata-Jurt) said today at the Parliament session.
"I have been raised the smog issue for the third time. Many parliamentarians have spoken about this problem as well. The population is raising this issue, but you are doing nothing and are not making no one accountable for this problem. If you continue ignoring, I will raise the issue of resignation of the government," he addressed to the government.
Mamataliyev claims that the government is not paying attention to all proposals on resolution of smog problem voiced by MPs and specialists. The lawmaker also noted that the government is ignoring other bills as well.
The parliamentarian reminded that he proposed his ways of tackling the smog problem, including filling stations for electronic cars, gasification of districts for loans.
He blamed poor quality coal, which is delivered after modernization of the Bishkek CHPP, for smog.
