Tokayev won't participate in EAEU summit in St. Petersburg

AKIPRESS.COM - Spokesman of the Kazakh President Berik Uali explained why Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will not participate in the upcoming informal summit of the EAEU in St. Petersburg, Zakon.kz reports. "Our country at this summit will be represented by the First President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is an honorary chairman of the Higher Eurasian Economiv Council. According to the traditional practice, the head of state and the Yelbasy do not leave abroad together. The Yelbasy has a right to express his opinions during discussion of certain documents. The right to sign them belongs to the Presdient," Uali told on Facebook.
Tokayev on December 20 plans to deliver a speech at the regular session of the National Council of Public Trust.
