President Tokayev orders to decriminalize defamation

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ordered to decriminalize the article on defamation, Tengrinews.kz reported. "I decided to decriminalize the article 130 of the Criminal Code (Defamation) and transfer it to the Administrative Code," he said at the meeting of the National Council of Public Trust today.
In addition, the President commented on the article on excitement of social, national, birth, racial and religious hatred.
The head of state proposed to humanize this article and change some formulations of words.
