AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev told about the draft law on peaceful rallies, which introduces a notifying principle of organization of rallies, Tengrinews.kz reported. "We need to introduce an informative principle of organization of rallies," he said at the meeting of the National Council of Public Trust today.
According to him, it's time to instill a rally culture in the public mind.
"Both society and government should start treating the public expression of positions adequately. This is inevitable and it's better to come to that consciously, but not by force. But one should understand that that the protests are not only right, but also a responsibility," Tokayev noted.
According to him, as part of the address to the nation, a draft law on peaceful rallies has been developed. The bill determines the status of organizor, the status of participant, the status of observer and their rights and obligations.
