AKIPRESS.COM - Azimbek Beknazarov has been appointed Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Malaysia. The respective order was signed by President Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
President Jeenbekov said at his yesterday's year-end press conference that he nominated Beknazarov for Ambassador to Malaysia in view of his life and political experience.
Beknazarov was Prosecutor General from April to September 2005. Then he won a seat in the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
Since April 2010, he was vice chairman of the provisional government of Kyrgyzstan, where he coordinated work of the procuratorial authorities and courts.
From August to December 2010 he was Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan.
In April 2011 he was appointed President's Representative in Parliament, but he tendered resigned in July.
He was nominated to run in 2017 presidential election by the association of national patriotic forces of Kyrgyzstan.
