Bishkek mayor’s office comments on allocation of land plot for football center

AKIPRESS.COM - Bishkek mayor's office insisted that the Kyrgyz Football Federation should provide supporting documents for grant of $10 million, the mayor's office commented on the allocation of land plot for the construction of a football center on Dec 27.
The mayor's office stated that the Bishkek local council passed a moratorium on the allocation of land plots in Bishkek city and the mayor does not have right to single-handedly allocate the land plots, as the land and municipal property belong to the people.
The mayor's office proposed to Kyrgyz Football Federation to register land plot on mayor's office and receive a grant in the amount of $10 million, build football academy and transfer the center to the balance of Bishkek mayor's office for free and after the transfer of center consider the use by the Federation.
"On Dec 27, Bishkek local council members gave official instruction to the Bishkek mayor's office to sign a memorandum on cooperation with the Football Federation of Kyrgyzstan on the construction of a football center. The draft memorandum was proposed for public discussion," the mayor's office.
