President Jeenbekov ratifies documents with Japan on $16.4 million worth rehabilitation of bridge on Talas-Taraz road

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov has signed the law on ratification exchange notes between the government of Kyrgyzstan and the government of Japan on reconstruction of the bridge across the Urmaral river on the Talas-Taraz road and the grant agreement between the government of Kyrgyzstan and Japan International Cooperation Agency on reconstruction of the bridge across the Urmaral river signed on 17 July 2019 in Bishkek. The law was passed by the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan on 5 December 2019.
The Foreign Ministry will notify the Japanese side about implementation of internal procedures necessary for the entry of the exchange notes and grant into force.
The law becomes effective since the day of its official publication.
The Government of Japan will provide $16.4 million grant to Kyrgyzstan for rehabilitation of the bridge across the Urmaral river on the Talas-Taraz road.
