AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister Askar Mamin ordered to thoroughly investigate causes of the plane crash in Almaty and to provide assistance to families of those who died, Tengrinews.kz reports. The families of those who were killed in the plane crash will receive 4 million in assistance (around $10,500).
Financial assistance will be provided to all injured as well, Askar Mamin said.
The governmental commission for investigation of the plane crash should announce the interim outcomes of their work by 10 January 2020, Mamin demanded.
The Bek Air plane en route from Almaty to Nur-Sultan lost altitude after take-off and hit into the wall and a 2-storey building. 98 were aboard, including 9 children and 5 crew members.
At least 12 people were killed. 53 were taken to Almaty hospitals. 8 are in critical condition.
