Kyrgyzstan to have jury trials since 2025

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sooronbai Jeenbekov has signed amendments to several legislative acts that were earlier passed by the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan on 19 December 2019. The amendments postpone introduction of jury trials in Kyrgyzstan.
The jury trials were supposed to be introduced since 1 January 2020, but in view of unprepared infrastructure of courts for jury trials, they were postponed until 1 January 2025.
