Over 1,600 citizens of Kyrgyzstan serve prison terms abroad

AKIPRESS.COM - 1,631 citizens of Kyrgyzstan serve prison terms abroad, Consular Service Department Director Almaz Imangaziev said. 140 citizens of Kyrgyzstan serve prison terms in Russia, 104 in Kazakhstan, 3 in Uzbekistan, 25 in Tajikistan, 13 in China, 8 in Turkey and other countries, he said.
Consular workers visited 10 prisons in Russia in June 2019, where they met with 139 prisoners, who were provided legal consultations.
