Kazakhstan abolishes mandatory registration of foreigners for stay under 30 days

AKIPRESS.COM - The Interior Ministry of Kazakhstan has canceled temporary registration for all categories of foreign national staying in the country under 30 days, Informburo.kz reports. The respective amendments in the regulations were signed by President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev on December 28. They will enter into force 10 days after publication in local media.
A host organization should report to migration service about arrival of foreign visitor to the country within 3 work days since entry into Kazakhstan.
If a foreign national plans to stay more than 30 days in Kazakhstan, a host organization should apply for a temporary stay permit.
