Banners with names of WWII veterans appear in Sokuluk district

AKIPRESS.COM - The banners with names of veterans of the World War II appeared on main streets in Jany-Jer rural municipality of Sokuluk district of Chui region, municipality governor Mirlan Jekshenov said. The 17 banners with names of veterans were hung on two main streets of the municipality, the governor said.
"We have started preparations for the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. We put names of the veterans from Jany-Jer village on one side of the banner and wise advise from them on another side. We had 160 veterans in our village, nobody remained now. The last war veteran died 5-6 years ago," the governor said.
