AKIPRESS.COM - The outbreaks of flu have become common occurrences in Mongolia's capital Ulaanbaatar during winter in the recent years. These have been made worse by suffocating air-pollution, Mongolian media report. On Jan 7, the Mongolian Cabinet decided to extend the holiday break for secondary schools in order to prevent the seasonal spread of flu.
Secondary schools in Ulaanbaatar will be closed until 20 January, but local schools across the country will begin classes from 13 January.
