Kyrgyz lawmaker suggests to crackdown on "negative news in media" for the sake of tourism image of Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Dubai blocks any negative information in the media to preserve its tourism image, said Kyrgyz MP Kubanychbek Jumaliyev at the session of the parliament committee for transport and suggested to do the same in Kyrgyzstan.
"Information that might badly impact on the country's image is controlled toughly and is not published," he said.
"Yes, we have a democracy, but I think we've already crossed all possible lines publishing everything. For example, even the public TV channel covers everything that happened in the country, from fires to conflicts," he said.
He suggested the government to think about it, the government has everything to regulate such matters.
The committee is discussing draft amendments to the air code of Kyrgyzstan on implementation of the Open Skies policy.
