President Mirziyoyev meets acting Russian Foreign Minister

AKIPRESS.COM - President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met acting Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov, who arrived in Uzbekistan on official visit. President Mirziyoyev praised the current bilateral strategic partnership and alliance in opening remarks at the meeting.
Sergei Lavrov thanked Mirziyoyev for warm reception and passed greetings from President Vladimir Putin. He noted a role of two leaders in achievement the current level of cooperation.
Relevant aspects of bilateral cooperation were considered at the meeting. The views were exchanged on international and regional issues.
A particular attention was paid to upcoming top-level meetings this year.
