Chief of road police briefs on resolution of traffic jams issue in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - The resolution of traffic jams issue in the city needs complex approach, said the chief of road police Azamat Israilov. According to him, the technical regulation equipment is needed, as well as the construction of the new crossroads and organization of new parking areas and etc.
According to the State Registration Service, about 420,000 vehicles registered in Bishkek, where 60,000-70,000 vehicles drive into and out.
Israilov said that one vehicle in the city needs at least 2 parking places. Cars are parked on both sides of the road, the roads are narrow and this leads to traffic jams. Therefore, complex approach is needed," he said.
