Parliament considers ratification of memo with India on high-altitude biology and medicine research

AKIPRESS.COM - The parliament considers the draft law on ratification of the memorandum of cooperation between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and India for collaborative research work on high-altitude biology and medicine signed on 14 June 2019 in Bishkek. The Health Minister Kosmosbek Cholponbayev presented the draft law.
The project aims to further develop bilateral relations in science and medicine, to address high-altitude problems and synergize efforts of researchers, clinicians, doctors in such areas as study of endurance, mental abilities, sleep architecture during adaptation to high altitude, development of the methods improving human adaptation to high altitude with use of locally available natural means.
The draft law will allow Kyrgyz health professionals to apply for $850,000 grant for a 5-year period.
