AKIPRESS.COM - Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan hosted the Turkmen-German round table discussions on Jan 21. The representatives of ministries, sectoral departments of Turkmenistan, Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany, and German companies attended the meeting, the state media report.
The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dovletgeldi Rejepov noted that Turkmenistan and Germany maintain promising economic relations, and according to the trade statistics of 11 months of 2019, Germany became the country's 9th largest trading partner.
Rejepov noted that the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan registered 183 joint projects with the participation of 57 companies with German investments.
Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Economic Policy Department of the Germany's Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy Andreas Nikolin, noted that the delegation included representatives of a number of experienced companies can establish cooperation in the field of digitalization of the Turkmen economy and industry.
Following the discussions, the parties held bilateral meetings, where the Turkmen and German companies introduced their areas of activity.
The German delegation also visited the production facilities of Abadan Haly, Bir dünýä, Täze Aý and Daýanç Plastik companies.
