Uzbekistan ranked 153rd in Corruption Perceptions Index

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan was ranked 153rd in the Corruption Perceptions Index released by the Transparency International. Uzbekistan gained 25 scores from total 100.
In 2018, Uzbekistan was ranked 158th with 23 scores.
Tajikistan gained 25 scores, Turkmenistan 19 scores.
Since 2012, Belarus (45), Kyrgyzstan (30) and Uzbekistan (25) significantly improved their positions. However, these countries are unable to keep the system of checks and balances, the report said.
Denmark, New Zealand, Finland, Singapore and Sweden are at top of the rankings.
Russia is on the 137th place, Kazakhstan is on the 113th, Kyrgyzstan is on the 126th place, Tajikistan is 153rd and Turkmenistan is 165th among 180 countries.
South Sudan, Syria and Somalia are at the bottom of the rankings.
