Ex-MP Ravshan Jeenbekov's cell searched, prison authority says it happends in prisons

AKIPRESS.COM - The cell in remand prison #1 where ex-MP Ravshan Jeenbekov is held was searched at night on Jan 28, former MP says.
The state penitentiary service said for its part that such searches in the cells are legal and carried out frequently to prevent use of prohibited items while in detention.
The former MP will be visited by human rights activists.
Jeenbekov was arrested on Dec 12. Ravshan Jeenbekov is suspected of hostage-taking and organization of mass riots during the events in Koi-Tash village.
