Lawmaker asks to support residents of Uzgen district affected by landslide

AKIPRESS.COM - The Uzgen residents affected by landslide were resettled to the village of Yntymak and were promised to resolve the social issues of the village, said MP Sagyndyk Keldibayev at the parliament meeting on Jan 30.
"They were promised to be provided with water and electricity, to pave the road, to build rural health post, but nothing done. There is no clean water in the village, the nearest health post is 10-15 km away," Keldibayev said and urged the government to fulfill the promises.
Ayu village was hit by a strong landslide on April 29, 2017 leaving 24 people dead.
The total land mass that came down amounted to 200,000 m3.
