New flight linking Tehran and Bishkek opens

AKIPRESS.COM - A new Tehran-Dushanbe-Bishkek-Tehran flight was welcomed today at the Manas airport in Bishkek, the airport said.
Opening this flight has been under consideration since November 2019. Thanks to joint efforts and negotiations, the first flight is welcomed today, Manas International Airport OJSC said.
Iranian airline Varesh Airlines will perform flights once a week on Mondays on Boeing 737-300.
The flight duration from Bishkek to Tehran is 2 hours and 35 minutes.
The average cost of the one way ticket is $250, both ways - $500.
Chairman of the Civil Aviation Agency of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Akishev said: "Opening of the new international flight as part of the ongoing implementation of the fifth freedom of the air will allow passengers to transit to Asian and Persian Gulf nations."
