AKIPRESS.COM - Women suffer from violence of their drunk husbands and have to find refuge at crisis centers, MP Ainuru Altybaeva said in Parliament today during consideration of the amendments to the law on protection from domestic violence. She suggested to re-start sobering stations that functioned in the Soviet Union.
"You are right. We are making such suggestion," Deputy Interior Minister Almazbek Orozaliev responded.
"In many cases crimes are committed under alcohol intoxication. We used to have sobering stations to let even a criminal sober up. We will relaunch them soon," the Deputy Interior Minister said.
