Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan becomes Jambyl region governor

AKIPRESS.COM - Berdibek Saparbaev was relieved of Deputy Prime Minister's duties and was appointed Jambyl region governor, Akorda reported. He replaced Askar Myrzahmetov, who tendered resignation following the massive disorders in Kordai district.
Saparbaev has been Deputy Prime Minister since August 2019.
Before that he served as chief of staff of the prime minister's office, Kyzyl-Orda region governor, South Kazakhstan region governor, Customs Control Agency Chairman, Deputy Finance Minister. From March 2009 to November 2014 he was Eastern Kazakhstan region governor. In 2014, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. In September 2015, he was Aktobe region governor. in February 2019, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security.
