Tajikistan to quarantine workers returning from China

AKIPRESS.COM - Citizens of China working at industrial enterprises in Tajikistan will be quarantined upon their return to the country from China, Minister of Industry and New Technologies Zarobiddin Faizullozoda told a press conference today.
The Ministry is in a close cooperation with the coordination office under the Ministry of Health and Social Security, he said.
The list of the companies and sites that have Chinese workers was made. Around 50 Chinese companies are active in Tajikistan now, mainly in mining and production of construction materials.
"Some 2,176 nationals of Tajikistan work at these enterprises. Around 617 workers remained in Tajikistan, the rest 1,559 left for China for Chinese New Year celebrations. A part of them returned already and are in quarantine in Varzob district and Dushanbe. All other workers arriving from China will be quarantined as well," the Minister said, Avesta reports.
