Mongolia updates security of 50 and 20,000 tugrik bills

AKIPRESS.COM - Central Bank of Mongolia issued updated 50 and 20,000 tugrik bills available at the commercial banks from Feb 10.
The security update included new 3D-safety tapes, color-changing ink, and tactile elements for the visually impaired.
The old 20,000 tugriks issued in 2006 will be removed from turnover from March 1, 2020.
Individuals with old 20,000 tugriks can exchange them in commercial banks within 2 years.
