New EU Ambassador accredited in Turkmenistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union in Turkmenistan Diego Ruiz Alonso on Feb 8, the ministry reports.
The Turkmen side expressed its readiness to assist and support the activities of the EU delegation and congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible post.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union were discussed. The role of cooperation within the framework of international organizations was noted, and the parties also considered further steps to expand relations in various fields.
The European Union had opened its Embassy in Ashgabat in 2019.
