Government opposes bill on allocation of local budget funds to health care sector

AKIPRESS.COM - The parliament considered the draft amendments into law on local-self governance, which envisages the provision of law on health care of citizens of Kyrgyzstan on Feb 12. The law aimed at permitting self-governance bodies to allocate local budget funds to the health care sphere.
"The law will allow all-sufficient local authorities to finance the socially important sector," said the bill initiator MP Baktybek Turusbekov.
During the bill consideration, the government opposed the lawmaker's initiative. The bill is unreasonable, this is government's statement, said government's representative Almas Abytov.
Vice-Speaker Mirlan Bakirov said that bill is need to be improved.
Lawmakers Tariel Jorobekov and Iskender Gaipkulov noted the necessity to return the bill, as government opposed it.
MP Alfia Samigullina asked colleges to support the bill's concept.
Following the consideration, the bill was passed in the first reading.
