In monetary terms, export declined by 27 percent, reaching $ 114 million, Montsame reported.
Although the State Emergency Commission made a decision to halt coal export until March 2, it notified that copper concentrate would be shipped by Oyu Tolgoi LLC through Gashuunsukhait border checkpoint. However, the volume of export is going down due to the precautionary measures of the Government of Mongolia, Oyu Tolgoi LLC reports.
In January, export of iron ore concentrate upped by 34 percent, reaching 815 thousand tons or USD 55.5 million. While export of zinc went up a bit in January and reached 12.7 thousand tons or USD 17.9 million.
