New Vice PM orders to launch social ID cards across Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov ordered the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection to launch the social ID cards throughout the country until the end of this year, Vlast.kz reported.
"A pilot project should be launched across the country by the Ministry in cooperation with the regional authorities," he said today at the session.
Tugzhanov noted success in launching of the pilot project.
The social IDs today are being launched in Karaganda region, Pavlodar and Nur-Sultan. The cards are used for paying school meals, travel by public transport, receiving targeted social benefits, as well as free medicines.
