AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan has banned import of poultry from Vinnytsia region of Ukraine, Sputnik Kazakhstan reported.
The temporary restrictions were imposed due to the bird influenza outbreak in the region, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reports.
The temporary ban is also imposed for transit of live bird, poultry and all kinds of chicken products and hatchable eggs, feed and feed additives for animals, hunter's trophies and others through the territory of this region.
President of the Union of Poultry Farmers of Kazakhstan Ruslan Sharipov believes that the birds of Kazakhstan remain in safety.
This measure will help protect from spread of dangerous birds diseases in Kazakhstan, he said.
Russia and Belarus earlier announced temporary ban over bird influenza outbreak as well, the Ministry added.
