AKIPRESS.COM - 145,827 people received one-time state benefit for childbirth in Kyrgyzstan in 2019, said employee of population registration department and acts of civil status of State Registration Service Asmat Mamasaliyeva on air of Birinchi Radio on Feb 18.
According to her, over 90,000 citizens applied for one-time state benefit for childbirth "balaga suyunchu" in 2018 and over 161,000 applied for benefits in 2019.
"The sharp increase in payments is resulted from the simplification of collection of documents," noted the head of the department for family and child support Samagan Asanov.
In 2019, 173,601 newborns received birth certificates, as well as 12,926 children were registered in the State Registration Service after 1 year since birth.
The volunteers of the Law Academy revealed over 1,400 children without birth certificates in the housing estates and outskirts of Bishkek last year.
The work on detection of unregistered children is scheduled in 2020.
Kyrgyz government began issuing one-time state benefit for childbirth "balaga suyunchu" in the amount of 4,000 soms for each child since Jan 1, 2018.
