India ready to support development of nuclear infrastructure in Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - India shows interest in development of nuclear infrastructure in Uzbekistan and is ready to provide support in this area, the Uzbek Atomic Energy Agency Uzatom said.
Uzatom delegation held talks in Delhi with Indian Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Shri Vyas on cooperation in peaceful nuclear use.
The sides considered possible training of specialists, delivery of consultations by India in designing and construction of a nuclear plant in Uzbekistan.
Uzatom will visit the Indian Nuclear Energy Corporation and Kudankulam nuclear plant site construction. The new energy units will be built by Russia's nuclear agency Rosatom, which is also expected to build a nuke plant in Uzbekistan.
