About 6 bn tenge investments to be attracted in geological exploration in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Up to 6 billion tenge investments will be attracted for geological exploration in 2021-2025 in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Prime Minister reported.
More than 20,000 jobs will be created as a result, Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Magzum Mirzagaliyev said at the government session.
According to him, there are more than 8,000 fields, including hydrocarbon fuels - 317, solid minerals - 910, common useful minerals - more than 3,000 and about 4,000 underground water basins in the country.
The Minister said the reserves in the large deposits are expected to run out. In this regard, he offered to boost geological exploration in the country, as it takes at least 10-15 years to launch a new deposit after it's opening.
Mirzagaliyev said there is a positive experience of attracting investors in conducting geological exploration.
The state program on geological exploration will be implemented for the state budget and investments, he added.
