Kazakhstan ready to evacuate its citizens from quarantined cruise ship — Ministry of Health

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan is ready to evacuate its citizens from Diamond Princess cruise ship, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports with reference to the Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Yelzhan Birtanov. "We have a direct contact with the Ministry of Health of Japan. At a moment, there are no reports that they are infected. They feel good. Now we are considering the issue on returning of our citizens to Kazakhstan with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," Birtanov said at the government session.
The MFA earlier told that the Kazakhstanis have no complaints and that they are provided with all necessary things.
The total number of coronavirus infected passengers in the cruise ship reached to 454. About 3,400 people are on the board today.
Among those infected are about 40 U.S. citizens, who will be delivered for treatment in the Japanese medical facilities.
