3 men detained in Jalal-Abad while trying to sell fake $30,000

AKIPRESS.COM - The Anti-Corruption Service of the State National Security Committee detained three men in the town of Jalal-Abad on February 16 while they attempted to sell counterfeit $100 banknotes for $30,000 in total.
The investigation found the counterfeit banknotes were purchased in a neighboring country with the purpose of their sale in Kyrgyzstan: 10,000 fake bills for $4,500 genuine banknotes.
The fake US dollars were smuggled into Kyrgyzstan.
The pre-trial investigation was launched into forgery of money.
The three men were taken into custody for 2 months. They are held in the remand prison of the State National Security Committee in Osh.
