AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstan will spend 240 billion tenge for study of the climate change processes in 2017-2021, Atameken business reported.
The country allocated 6.5 million dollars for early warning system, which was launched since the beginning of this year.
The technology will allow to monitor the condition of glaciers and lakes and warn of the upcoming floods. The project is planned to be implemented within 5 years. The funds will be allocated by the Adaptation Fund.
Kazakhstan by 2030 will face a water deficit. Reserves of water will reduce by 25% in 10 years, the report says.
The country will introduce the systems on effective use of water resources, specialists say.
Local experts are forecasting a stable increase of temperature in the coming 10 years.
