AKIPRESS.COM - MP Maksat Sabirov suggested his colleagues to set up a parliamentary or governmental commission to look into the accidents in the Kumtor gold mine following the third deadly accident.
"There was another accident, and I raised this issue before. Some workers are being threatened to be fired. These questions were supposed to be considered. A government commission must look into the situation," he said.
Technical and environmental safety must be considered.
On December 1 at 5:43 am, a landslide occurred on the Lysyi glacier. Two employees of the company went missing after the disaster, the search for them was stopped after 40 days of day and night search and rescue operation.
On Feb 15, a 54-year-old of the gold mine fell into the lake Petrov while driving the excavator. His body was pulled out by rescuers.
