AKIPRESS.COM - Citizens that arrive in Kazakhstan from coronavirus-hit countries will be kept in house quarantine within 24 days, the press service of the Ministry of Health reported.
The rules were introduced by the decision of a chief sanitary doctor of the country on February 17, 2020.
Those arriving in Kazakhstan from countries unfavorable on coronavirus infection cases (Singapore, Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR of China) will be under medical monitoring at place of residence within 24 days from the day of crossing the border of Kazakhstan.
This category of citizens will be visited by medical employees every day within 14 days and checked remotely by specialists within another 10 days.
If someone arrived in Kazakhstan for a short term, he or she will be undergoing a constant medical check all the time of stay in the country.
Another category of citizens, who come from countries with few cases of coronavirus infection (Malaysia, Vietnam, U.S., Canada, Italy), will be monitored within 24 days at place of residence remotely.
All citizens arriving from China will be isolated for 14 day-quarantine. After they are discharged, they will be under remote medical monitoring at the place of residence for 10 days.
To date, 165 people with fever are hospitalized in Kazakhstan. 158 people were discharged and 7 remain in the hospitals. The condition of patients is satisfactory. 524 people were checked and released from quarantine, icluding Kazakhstanis and foreigners.
